NEET 2021 Phase 2 Registration

NTA released NEET 2021 Result in online mode through its official website. Candidates can check their results by entering their roll number and other required details on the website. NTA will publish both the All India Rank and All India Quota Rank along with the category rank on the website. In order to take admission into the NEET colleges along with the AIIMS and JIPMER, the aspirants should qualify the NEET 2021 exam.

NEET 2021 Cut Off
NTA will publish not only the NEET result, but also they will also announce the NEET cut off 2021. An aspirant is required to get the minimum cut off marks to take admission into the NEET colleges/institutions. NEET cutoff marks vary as per the different categories. NEET cutoff marks is relied upon the below mentioned three factors and these are:
- The number of available seats
- Total number of aspirants appear in the exam
- Level of difficulty of the questions in NEET 2021 exam.
NEET 2021 cut off is published both for the State Level Quota and All India Quota. Based on NEET cut-off, the exam-conducting authority declares the result for candidates as qualified or not qualified.

NEET 2021 Minimum Qualifying Percentile
NTA will publish the NEET Cutoff percentile marks along with the result and scorecard in August 2021 (tentative). In order to calculate the NEET percentile marks, the aspirants should follow the below mentioned method:
- If a student secures Rank X in NEET 2021 exam and if the total number of candidates appear in the test is Y, then the formula for calculating the NEET percentile is: [(Y-X)/Y]*100.
Tie-Breaker Procedure for NEET 2021
If two or more aspirants get the same number, then the NTA will follow the tie-breaking process. This process is followed for the purpose of assigning ranks. The aspirants should check the tie-break procedure corresponding to the assigning ranks. Read the following tie-breaker process for NEET 2021.
- The aspirants, who have higher scores in Biology, will get higher ranks in the merit list.
- If still the tie among the candidates persists, then whoever gets a high score in Chemistry will be able to secure a high rank in the merit list.
- Higher marks and rank will be assigned to those candidates, who have got wrong answers for every incorrect answer (if the tie remains persistent among the aspirants).
- At last, the higher age candidates will be at the top position in the merit list. Age group consideration is the final criteria for breaking the tie among the similar score obtaining candidates.
NEET 2021 Counselling
The qualified candidates can participate in NEET 2021 Counselling in order to get admissions in different medical and dental institutions. In this regard, a call letter will be issued by the NTA. NEET 2021 Counselling will most probably commence in September/October and is expected to be divided into two phases: All India Quota and State Level Quota. The counselling process will be conducted online.
- The All India Quota Counselling is carried out by MCC (Medical Counselling Committee). On the other hand, the Directorate of Health forms the counselling process.
- State Counselling is conducted by the respective state exam authority.

Candidates can download the NEET Admit Card 2021 using their application number and DOB. NTA will release NEET 2021 admit card 3 days prior to the exam date.. NEET 2021 Instructions for Exam Day
- NEET exam centres will be opened 2.5 hours before the exam timing. On the other hand, if you try to enter the exam center after 9.30, you do not get the permission to enter. Better, you are suggested to reach the exam center at the reporting time mentioned on your admit card.
- Do not forget to carry your NEET admit card.
- Aspirants also need to bring a passport sized photograph, since it will be pasted on the attendance sheet by the invigilator.
- It is better to not carry any personal belongings to the exam center, since you will not be allowed to carry the items to the exam hall.
- You should follow the NEET 2021 Dress code.
- The aspirants are not allowed to bring mobile phones or any digital instruments.

NTA is organizing NEET 2021 at around 3,862 exam center’s in 201 cities all over the country. There has been a continuous increase in exam centres since the last few years. Candidates can provide 4 most preferred exam cities while filling the application form. This has also been done in order to make following social distancing measures easy. - Entering the exam center will not be allowed if a candidate is not able to provide a NEET Admit Card 2021 and Proforma with photograph.

NEET 2021 Exam Pattern
NEET is conducted in online mode only. The question paper has objective type questions. There are 200 questions divided into four sections. In 2021, NTA has decided to divide each section into 2 parts- A and B. Section B will have 15 questions, out of which candidates will be required to attempt any 10. NEET 2021 Eligibility Criteria for 15% All India Quota Seats
To participate in the counselling process, the aspirants should apply through the online portal of the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC). MCC Counselling for NEET UG 2021 will be completed in two rounds.
- All the NRIs, Foreign students, PIO and OCI are eligible along with Indian Nationals to participate in the 15% AIQ counselling process.
- Some of the states such as Jammu and Kashmir are not eligible to participate in the 15% AIQs.
- The aspirants from the aforementioned states can take admission to any Deemed/Private Universities or in Dental/Medical institutes/colleges. In addition, they can also enroll their names in Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC), Pune.
- The students in the waiting list can get guidance from DGHS (Director General of Health Services).
NEET 2021 Eligibility Criteria for 85% State Quota Seats
The 85% state quota is applicable to state aspirants. In order to know the counselling dates and event venue, the aspirants should contact the state authorities. Read the following to identify the 85% quota criteria-
- 10th and 12th degree should be passed out from the domicile states
- The candidates should possess valid state domicile and genuine proof of their state residency.
- Foreign nationals, NRIs, PIOs, OCIs are also eligible along with the Indian Nationals to attend state quota.

Apart from AFMC, Pune there are some other Universities such as Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Uttar Pradesh, Jamia Hamdard University, Delhi also invite the participants to take part in the NEET 2021 admission process. NEET 2021 Reservation Process
As per the above discussion, 15% All India Quota Seats for BDS/MBBS coursework is filled based on the NEET 2021 score of the aspirants. On the other hand, 85% seats for the coursework will be filled after the state conducting counselling process. Few Important Changes in NEET 2021 Reservation Process
- The states like Telangana and Andhra Pradesh can participate in 15% All India Quota Seats.
- Ladakh will be participating in the 15% All India quota.
- Jammu and Kashmir does not take part in AIQ after J&K Reorganization Act, 2019. However, if any changes are there then it will be updated on the NTA website.

Reservation for General-Economically Weaker Sections
In January session, 124th Amendment Bill under Indian Constitution by the Parliament. On the other hand, General Quota candidates that are EWS aspirants are applicable for 10/5 reserved jobs and education.
The eligibility criteria under EWS are as follows:
- Gross Annual Income of family should be less than INR 8 Lakh
- Ownership of residential flat is less than 1000 sq ft
- Family ownership of the agricultural land should be less than 5 acres
- Ownership of residential plot has to less than 100 sq yards
- Ownership of residential plot must need to less than 200 sq yards (unnotified municipalities)
Who are the deserving candidates to fall under the EWS category?
The aspirants, whose family income is lower 8 Lakh per annum and who are not from SC/St/OBC reservation category, are eligible to experience the advantages of EWS reservation quota. However, to get the EWS reservation benefits, the deserving aspirants should submit the ‘Income and Asset Certificate’ to the authority.
Reservation for Disabled Candidates under AIQ
- 5% seats under All India Quota seats are available for Physically disabled aspirants.
- If the candidates would have locomotor disability and if the percentage of disability falls under 40%, then the aspirants can apply for the scheme.
- PwD aspirants should show the disability certificate while they are going to apply for the quota and want to get the benefit.
Reservation Under State Quota Seats
In order to participate in the state counselling process, the aspirants should check the official state counselling websites. The state counselling process is conducted by the respective state authorities or by union territories.
- The state reservation criteria vary from state to state and it is dependent upon several criteria. These are vernacular languages, popular distribution and the ratio of male to female.
- During the online form fill up process, the aspirants should submit the state code in the application process. On the other hand, state domicile copy is also required to be uploaded during NEET 2021 Registration.
Reservation in AIIMS/JIPMER/Deemed Universities/Central Universities/Seats of ESIC and AFMC including AMU/BHU
Since the year 2019, no separate admission test is taken by AIIMS and JIPMER colleges/universities. It is completely lying under the NEET exam. Although, from the admission test to reservation policy, it is not lying under AIQ or Non-AIQ seats.
