Live Update: NTA Extends the Deadline for NEET Form Correction till July 20, Check Details

The deadline to make corrections in application forms of NEET and other exams has been extended by NTA. The form correction window which was supposed to be opened till July 15, 2020, will remain open till July 20, 2020, now.

The form correction facility for NEET and other exams such as JEE, UC NET, IGNOU OPENMAT, Ph.D., etc will remain open till 20th July to make corrections in exam centers, photographs, signatures, and so on.

The decision to extend the deadline comes from the fact that “Some of the candidates have uploaded Photograph/ Signature which is illegible or has uploaded Photographs with Mask; such candidates are advised to upload clear photograph/signature of the desired specification (as detailed in Annexure – A) to avoid cancellation of their candidature.”  says NTA.

Earlier this month NTA revised NEET exam dates owing to the pandemic of COVID-19. The exam will now be conducted on September 13, 2020. Similarly, JEE Main will be conducted from September 1 to September 6, 2020.

NEET (UG) 2020 Application Form Correction Window Reopened Again Till 15th July

Mr Ramesh Pokhriyal announced the postponement of NEET 2020 exam till 13 Sept 2020. With that, NTA is providing another chance to candidates for NEET Application Form Correction. The NEET Form Correction Facility has been re-opened by the NTA from 4th July to 15th July 2020. As per the public notice by NTA, candidates will be allowed to update their NEET Exam Centre preferences using this correction facility. Along with this, NEET Admit Card 2020 will be released 15 days prior to the exam.

The NEET Form Correction Window will be open only till 5:00 PM on 15th July 2020 and correction fee can be paid (if required) only till 11:50 PM. The additional fee for correction (if required) can be paid via Debit/Credit Card, Net banking, UPI or Online Wallets.

  • Head over to ntaneet.nic.in
  • Click on the ‘Candidate Login’ link

Form Correction Window

  • A new window will open
  • Enter the Application Number and Password, and click on ‘Login’
  • Now you can make edits to your NEET (UG )2020 Application Form
  • Make necessary changes and click on ‘Submit’
  • Once done, pay any required fee and download the updated application form.

NTA Reopens NEET-UG 2020 Correction Facility Yet Again Till 31st May 2020

With multiple requests coming again from candidates appearing for NEET 2020, NTA has re-opened the NEET 2020 Correction Facility yet again. According to the official notice, the correction facility has been re-opened “in view of the hardships faced by aspirants of NEET-UG 2020 due to COVID-19 pandemic.”

The NEET-UG 2020 Correction Facility has now finally been re-opened for the 4th time till 31st May 2020, which also signifies that the nation-wide lockdown will be extended for 2 more weeks. It is evident that during the third phase of lockdown or ‘Lockdown 3.0’, many candidates living in various other cities decided to leave for their hometown. There were reports mentioning students leaving Kota in buses arranged by various states.

Before this, NTA had re-opened and then further extended the NEET 2020 Correction Facility till 3rd May 2020. Students were under the impression that exams would be conducted by the end of May 2020 or during June 2020 and did not utilise this facility.

After the NEET Correction Facility was closed, HRD Minister, Mr Ramesh Pokhriyal announced that NEET-UG 2020 shall be conducted on 26th July 2020. With the dates being postponed for around 3 months, a lot of aspirants decided to shift to their hometowns. Due to this reason, the majority of students had requested to re-open the facility for one last time.

Choice of Exam Centre

The main purpose of re-opening the facility was to give this option to students. NTA has stated in the official notice that all efforts will be made to allot exam centres in the chosen preferred city by the candidate but this is subject to the availability of capacity. They have also mentioned that it might be possible that a different city from the ones preferred could be allotted due to administrative reasons.

The NEET 2020 Correction Facility shall be open till 31st May 2020 on the official website – www.ntaneet.nic.in. As observed in the previous facility, changes shall be accepted till 5 PM and the submission of the fee shall be accepted by 11.50 PM. Any changes that might require an additional fee will only be charged for. Payment can be made using Net Banking, Debit/Credit Card, UPI or Online Wallets.

NEET 2020 Correction Window reopened amidst the outbreak of Coronavirus (COVID-19)

With the postponement of the NEET 2020 examination due to outbreak of Coronavirus (COVID-19), NTA has also provided the candidates with an extended correction window for NEET 2020. Now, candidates can correct errors in their application form till 14th April 2020.

This is brought in favour of multiple candidates who were unable to access the 2nd correction window previously due to the sudden lockdown announced by the government amidst the outbreak of coronavirus. Now, these candidates can avail this last moment facility and make any changes required as soon as possible.

To access the correction window, candidates must follow these steps-

  • Go to the official website of NEET 2020 – www.ntaneet.nic.in
  • Click on “Candidate Login”
  • Login using your credentials
  • Check for NEET Correction Facility

You can access the correction facility till 5 PM on 14th April 2020 and can pay the fee for changes till 11:50 PM on the same day. Fee for the same can be remitted through Debit/Credit card, Net Banking, UPI or Wallets.

You must ensure to check all the details carefully as this is the only last chance that NTA has provided to correct any particulars in your application form. Before this, NTA has already provided a correction facility twice to candidates.
