NEET 2020 Result To Be Announced Soon, OMR Response Sheets Yet To Be Released

NTA conducted the NEET 2020 on 13th September all over the country. Many candidates have expected that the NEET 2020 Results are going to be announced in the last week of September 2020, as the exams have already been delayed due to COVID-19. But it seems that NTA is planning to announce the result for NEET (UG) 2020 around the first week of October 2020.

NTA has already released the NEET 2020 Answer Keys for candidates along with the challenge window. However, the candidates have not been able to check their responses in the exam as NTA has not yet released the OMR Response Sheets.

This whole academic year has been delayed amid the COVID-19 pandemic. NEET 2020 was delayed by about 5 months, consequently delaying the admission process to various medical colleges of India. As NEET is conducted in pen and paper mode (using OMRs), it will be a long and tough task for providing the scanned OMR response sheets to each and every candidate. Due to these factors, it is possible that NTA might skip this step before releasing the NEET 2020 Results.

When Is NTA Going To Announce NEET 2020 Result?

According to the information bulletin on the official website, the exam date and result date as per the original schedule (before COVID-19) was 1 month apart.

As per the various rumours and news sources, the expected date for NEET Result is 12th Oct 2020 or before. However, NTA has made no official announcement regarding this. If taking the previous year trends, the result could be announced within the first week of Oct 2020 i.e. within 3 or 4 days.

Challenge NEET 2020 Answer KeyA day after the National Testing Agency (NTA) released the NEET 2020 answer key of the recently concluded NEET exam. Several students have now raised challenges to two questions from the exam paper. NTA has announced accepting challenges to NEET 2020 Answer Key between 27th September and 29th September (by 2 PM). To challenge the answer keys, students will have to pay 1,000 INR. The fee will be refunded in case the challenge is found to be correct.

How to Challenge NEET 2020 Answer Key?

No one can challenge the NEET 2020 answer key without the receipt of the challenge fee. If any challenge is accepted by NTA, students who appeared in the exam will be awarded a bonus of four marks for each question. Mentioned below are the steps to download the answer keys:

  1. One must visit the NTA NEET official website – ntaneet.nic.in
  2. Then students must click on the ‘Key challenge’ link present on the top left side of the homepage.
  3. Using the application ID and password one can log in.
  4. Students can see the response ID along with the correct option ID for each of the questions.
  5. Students can simply select the checkbox on the NEET 2020 answer key that they want to challenge.

What’s new with NEET 2020 Answer Key?

NTA releases the OMR sheets every year with the NEET Answer Keys 2020. But, there is an exception this year. The NEET OMR Sheets 2020 are not released as the exam, and consequent admission process is delayed this year due to the pandemic. But this action didn’t go well with students and their parents. They opine that without NEET OMR Sheets 2020, students are unsure about their responses.
