Free Coaching For NEET-UG 2020 To Government School Students: Tamil Nadu School Education Minister
As a relief to a large number of students, K A Sengottaiyan, Tamil Nadu School Education Minister, announced that the Tamil Nadu government will provide free NEET UG coaching classes to aspirants who have applied for the examination. The announcement was made on 12th May 2020 amid other announcements on class 10th and 12th boards and their evaluation process. All these exams have been postponed due to COVID-19 crisis all over the country and the subsequent country-wide lockdown, with NEET UG 2020 now scheduled to be conducted on 26th July 2020.
Tamil Nadu government has announced that it will make arrangements for food and lodging in 10 government colleges for the purpose of coaching government school students appearing for NEET-UG 2020. Along with this, the government is already providing free online facilities to study from home to students who are able to access the internet.
Tamil Nadu Board Examinations
Class 10th and 12th board exams which are still pending will be conducted from June 1 to June 12, 2020, announced the minister. The state government will be conducting Class 12th board exams for the state board students on June 4, 2020, for more than 35,000 students all over the state. Class 11th examinations which were halted during the country-wide lockdown are also proposed to be conducted soon enough. This decision will help students focus on the upcoming exams in July 2020 such as NEET-UG 2020 and JEE Main 2020.
The education minister said that the evaluation of answer sheets for exams which were conducted before lockdown will begin from May 27 at respective camps, while following complete social distancing norms by the evaluators.

Social Distancing will be followed
Considering the severity of conducting exams under this ongoing pandemic crisis, the School Education Minister has announced that the board exams will be conducted with complete social distancing norms, to control the spread of coronavirus. He also said that even though exams will be conducted soon, schools shall be re-opened only after the COVID-19 crisis is over.
MCC extends date for NEET PG 2020 Counselling resign Seats
MCC has extended the latest date for the candidates who have joined the allotted institute in the NEET PG 2020 counselling round-1 to resign from their joined seats due to the spread of Coronavirus. Candidates will have time to withdraw their seats by 5:PM on 8 May 2020.
Due to the Covid-19 outbreak and numerous court proceedings, the deadline for the resignation of seats was postponed forward in view of other state counselling processes being delayed.

Candidates who want to withdraw their allotted seats can send their information via email or report physically requesting to the allotted college. The seats resigned by the candidates will be available for the allotment in the second round of counselling.
Medical Counselling Committee has also asked colleges to email the resignation letter to these candidates.
The dates for the NEET PG Counselling round 2 will be released soon on the official website.
