NEET 2020 Admit Card Dates Postponed

Update: NTA has released the official statement regarding postponement of the NEET 2020 examination. It has been confirmed that new dates shall be announced only after 15th April depending upon the situation of the pandemic COVID-19 spread due to coronavirus.

NEET 2020 Postponement Notice

According to a recent report, dates for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) 2020 are going to be postponed. The National Testing Agency (NTA) has notified that admit cards will not be issued from March 27, 2020 as it was scheduled previously. As per the statement issued, the new date for downloading of admit cards will be announced later after a review of the situation on April 15, 2020.

This has come after the major outbreak of the pandemic Coronavirus (COVID-19) all over the world, with a high surge in numbers recently in India. All the major boards such as CBSE, NIOS and IITs postponed their exams until 31st March 2020. New dates to be announced for all the other exams will be decided later on so that the dates do not clash with each other.

The ministry of human resource development and the ministry of health and family welfare has been in talks over the exam date scheduled for May 3 which occurs after the 21 days lockdown recently announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. All the major exams scheduled during this period are subject to postponement. As per the statement issued, new dates for the NEET 2020 will be decided and announced after the country-wide lockdown is over.
