NEET Counselling 2020: Round 1 Result For MBBS, BDS Out; Download Seat Allotment Letter
Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has released the final list of seat allotment for NEET 2020 (UG) Counselling for Round 1 on 7th November 2020. The MBBS and BDS seats under 15% All India Quota have been allotted to candidates as per their preferences provided during choice filling. This year NEET Counselling includes deemed & central universities, along with AIIMS, JIPMER, ESIC and AFMC seats under 15% AIQ.
Candidates can now also download the seat allotment letter and report to their allotted colleges for completing requisite formalities. As per the official letter, candidates were advised to wait till the final result to report at colleges as provisional allotment is subject to changes.

Reporting To Medical / Dental Colleges
Candidates can report to the allotted institutes from November 6 to 12, 2020. Those who do not report will lose their allotted seat. The process of reporting might be altered with certain safety guidelines due to the COVID-19 Pandemic.
Documents that must be submitted at colleges while reporting are given below-
- Allotment Letter issued by MCC
- Admit Cards of Exam issued by NTA
- Result / Rank letter issued by NTA
- Date of Birth Certificate (if Matric Certificate does not bear the same)
- Class 10th Certificate
- Class 10+2 Certificate
- Class 10+2 Marks Sheet
- Eight (8) Passport size photographs – same as affixed on the application form
- Provisional allotment letter generated on-line.
- Proof of identity (Aadhar/ PAN/ Driving Licence/ Passport)
- For NRI/ OCI candidates appearing for Deemed Universities following documents are mandatory:
- Passport copy of sponsorer, embassy certificate
- Sponsorship affidavit (stating that sponsor is ready to bear the expenses for the whole duration of study)
- Relationship Affidavit (Relation of Candidate with the sponsor)
Do note that the original documents along with attested photocopies must be provided during reporting or admission at the institute. In case a candidate has availed benefit or certain category, he/she must also submit the category certificate.

What After Round 1 Seat Allotment?
The reporting for colleges allotted in round 1 of NEET Counselling ends on 12th November 2020.
- Soon after this, Round 2 process will commence from 18th November 2020.
- Reporting for seats allotted in round 2 will close on 2nd December 2020.
- Mop-up round counselling will be conducted from 10th December 2020 for seats in Deemed, Central University, ESIC, AIIMS & JIPMER.
- In case of seats left vacant after both rounds, Stray vacancy round will be conducted from 27th to 31st December 2020.
MCC extends date for NEET PG 2020 Counselling resign Seats
MCC has extended the latest date for the candidates who have joined the allotted institute in the NEET PG 2020 counselling round-1 to resign from their joined seats due to the spread of Coronavirus. Candidates will have time to withdraw their seats by 5:PM on 8 May 2020.
Due to the Covid-19 outbreak and numerous court proceedings, the deadline for the resignation of seats was postponed forward in view of other state counselling processes being delayed.

Candidates who want to withdraw their allotted seats can send their information via email or report physically requesting to the allotted college. The seats resigned by the candidates will be available for the allotment in the second round of counselling.
Medical Counselling Committee has also asked colleges to email the resignation letter to these candidates.
The dates for the NEET PG Counselling round 2 will be released soon on the official website.
MCC Conducts counselling process for 50% AIQ seats for all states except Jammu and Kashmir, 100% seats of deemed universities and 100% seats of central universities.

NEET 2021 Counselling – Dates, Fees, Registration and Reservation
MCC will commence NEET 2021 Counselling process (15% All India Quota) through online mode after the declaration of NEET results. The state level counselling process for 85% seats will be conducted separately by respective state authorities.
- Candidates clearing NEET cut off required by respective colleges can apply for admission in that college through counselling. Check NEET 2021 Expected Cutoff
- Preparation of the merit list begins a few days later the result declaration and the NEET 2021 Counselling process follows.
- AIQ Counselling process will be conducted into two rounds.
- The vacant seats will be transferred to the states respectively, once the second round NEET 2021 counselling process will be completed.
- Furthermore, the vacant seats after completing the AIQ quota for Central/Deemed Universities , will be completed in the NEET 2021 mop up counselling round.

Eligibility for NEET 2021 Counselling
Candidates who will qualify the NEET 2021 exam will be eligible to apply for NEET 2021 Counselling. For instance, the minimum qualifying marks for general category candidates is 50th percentile, 40th percentile for SC/ ST/ OBC category candidates and 45th percentile for general-PwD. Furthermore, the ministry releases a list of qualified candidates under AIQ excluding candidates from Jammu and Kashmir to take part in 15% All India Quota Counselling.
General Eligibility Criteria
- The aspirants should meet the aforementioned basic eligibility criteria to take part in the NEET 2021 counselling process.
- Nevertheless, the candidates, who are from Jammu and Kashmir, are not able to participate in the NEET 2021 Counselling process.
- To register the names, the candidates should enroll their names on the MCC website immediately.
- Finally, the qualified participants from Jammu and Kashmir can also participate in the AIQ counselling Deemed Universities.
Central University Eligibility Criteria
- Delhi University (LHMC, UCMC, MAMC): 85% institutional quota seats will be occupied for those students, who have completed their 11th and 12th grade from Delhi. On the other hand, the rest 15% seats will be reserved for All India Quota.
- Aligarh Muslim University (AMU): 50% aspirants, who have studied from their schools for the last three years, will be able to get into this university. Moreover, the rest 50% of students will be the NEET qualified candidates.
- BHU: The NEET 2021 counselling qualified students will also be eligible to participate in the BHU MBBS 2020 Counselling process.
- Faculty of Dentistry, Jamia Millia Islamia, Delhi: Three seats of BDS will be reserved through the internal quota of Jamia Millia Islamia, Delhi. On the other hand, 47 seats will be occupied for all. The students of Jamia University will also be eligible to apply for the internal quota.

NEET 2021 Counselling Process
NEET Follows an online Counselling for admission into various MBBS/BDS courses. Specifically, the process will begin in the last week of september.
Below mentioned is the complete process to apply for NEET 2021 Counselling –
Step 1: NEET 2021 Counselling Registration
- First, the candidates are required to login on the official website of MCC- www.mcc.nic.in
- Second, enter roll number and password to NEET login
- Then the candidates are required to enter details like Name, Roll Number, Registration Number, Mother’s Name, Contact Number, the details mentioned on their NEET results. When you’re done, click on ‘Submit’.
- After the information verification, click on Confirm Registration. Finally, a Registration Slip will also be generated and save this page for future reference.
Step 2: NEET 2021 Counselling Fee Payment
After successful registration, candidates are asked to submit the fee for NEET 2021 counselling. Specifically, the fee can be paid through Credit Card/Debit Card/Net Banking. NEET 2021 counselling fee is mentioned in the table below-

Step 3: Choice Filling
- Candidate needs to fill in the choices by logging on the MCC portal.
- Then, students need to choose the preferred course/college.
- Now, the aspirants can fill any number of choices from the list provided.
- Candidates can add or delete a choice.
- After selecting colleges, candidates can arrange their preferences by moving them up or down accordingly.
- Next the candidates are required to lock their choice.
- Nonetheless, the candidates can not change their preference after locking.
- After locking, choices candidates must save a copy of the choices filled for the future reference.
Step 4: Seat Allotment
- Based on the All India Rank obtained in NEET 2021 and the choices filled in the registration form, a seat allocation list will be prepared by the MCC.
- Seat allotment is uploaded in the form of a list on the official website of MCC.
- A seat allotment letter is released for the selected candidates.
- MCC released a seat allotment list after each section of counselling.
- Candidates are advised to report at the allotted center will the allotment letter and other required documents.
MCC may or may not decide to conduct a mop up counselling round to fill the leftover seats for 15% All India Quota. This depends on the availability of the vacant seats.
What’s New in NEET 2021 Counselling Process?
- The participation of the number of medical colleges in the AIQ counselling process has been increased this year. For example, the number of medical colleges has increased from 193 to 235 from last year to this year.
- With the rising number of colleges, the availability of seats in the colleges has also increased from 4064 to 4591 this year.
- From this year onwards, 85% seats of both the Vardhman Medical College and ESIC college will be conducted by MCC simultaneously. However, previously it was conducted by the IPU Administration process.

- The aspirants can apply for 15% AIQ according to the DGHS directions.

Counselling Process for 85% State Quota Seats
The state council authority will publish their NEET 2021 merit list, application form, seat allotment list and counselling schedule. Additionally, the domicile rule varies from state to states.
- Counselling authority will release the NEET 2021 merit list as per State rules and All India ranking.
- The State Counselling Authority also conducts the counselling for Private Medical Colleges apart from conducting counselling for government colleges.
- At first, the aspirants are required to register their names in the state counselling website.
- As per the state counselling process, the candidates can also take admission into the J&K, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh colleges.

Eligibility Criteria for Admission to Colleges
- Delhi University (UCMS, LHMC, MAMC): 15% seats are reserved by All India Quota, whereas 85% seats are occupied for institutional quota. The aspirants, who have completed their 11th and 12th grade from Delhi, are eligible to apply.
- Aligarh Muslim University (AMU): 50% aspirants are eligible to take admission into the university, who are studying for last three years in the same university. The rest of the 50% seats will be filled as per the NEET counselling process.
- BHU: The aspirants, who are eligible to take part in the NEET counselling process, are capable to take admission in the BHU.
- Faculty of Dentistry, Jamia Millia Islamia, Delhi: 3 seats are reserved for internal quota of Jamia Millia Islamia, Delhi. 47 seats of BDS seats will be opened to all. Students of Jamia, who have qualified 10th and 12th examinations from Jamia Schools, can take admission into Jamia Millia Islamia, Delhi as per internal quota.

NEET 2021 Cut off
NEET 2021 Cut off will be published with the release of exam results announcements. The NEET cut off varies for categories and candidates. To take admission, the candidates need to meet the minimum cut off score.
