Step 1: Registration

In order to register the names, the aspirants should provide the details like Email id and contact number. Once you submit the details, you should click the register option for completing the process. It is the first step for getting access to the rank predictor.

Step 2: Enter the details

If the aspirants complete their registration, they will be capable to predict the details by entering the details:

  • Expected Marks in NEET 2021: The aspirants should enter the marks (what they are predicting to get out of total allotted marks, i.e., 720). In case of estimating the predicted marks, the aspirants can rely on the NEET cutoff of previous years.
  • Cutoff category: The applicants will need to choose the deserving categories, that is whether they are from General/SC/ST or OBC. NEET cutoff score for all of the categories will be released separately.

NEET Participating States for Medical and Dental Colleges

Seat under All India Quota

As per Medical Council of India report, there are 462 medical colleges which offer 63,835 seats under NEET across the country. 15% of the total seats will be reserved for the All India Quota. However, candidates from Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Jammu & Kashmir are not eligible for 15 % All India Quota seats

  • The merit list prepared by the board will be equal to the number of seats available under 15% All India Quota.
  • Allotment of seats under 15% All India quota shall be determined in order of merit list and centralized NEET counselling.

Seat under State Quota

85% of seats are under the State Quota. Candidates from the respective states can apply for the seats under State Quota. The State level counseling will allow the seats under the State Quota in different states. State authority will release the merit list.

Seats are allocated on the basis of reservation policy. It depends on different states, different minorities and other factors. Aspirants are advised to fill the state code information in the Application form so that he/she is eligible for state quota.

NEET 2021 Results: Scorecard, Cut Off, Merit List & All India Ranks

NEET 2021 Result will most likely be released on the official website followed by NEET 2021 Cut Off and Answer Keys in September 2021. NEET 2021 results by NTA will be announced in the form of a scorecard containing candidates’ overall and sectional marks as well as the status of qualifying in the exam. NTA also assigns All India Ranks (AIR) or All India Quota Rank alongside category rank during the announcement of NEET Result.

What after NEET 2021 Result?

NTA will release the cut off along with the NEET 2021 result. The NEET 2021 cutoff is the minimum marks required to qualify for the exam. NEET Cut off is different for different categories: The NEET 2021 cut off will depend on three factors, namely-

The merit list will be prepared as per the candidate’s performance in the NEET exam. The NEET 2021 merit list of All India Quota will be prepared by the National Testing Agency and the candidates get admission in colleges or universities as per their position in the merit list.

Tie-Break Procedure for NEET 2021

NTA is likely to follow a predetermined tie-breaking procedure in case two or more students end up obtaining the same score, for the purpose of assigning ranks. Check the stipulated tie-break procedure for NEET 2021.

  1. Higher marks in Biology will lead to a higher rank in the order of merit.
  2. Higher marks in Chemistry, if the tie persists, will be used to assign the ranks for candidates.
  3. If the tie still persists, then candidates with least wrong answers will be placed higher in the order of merit
  4. Final criteria if all the others fail to resolve ties, is that candidates older in age will be placed higher on the merit list.

NEET 2021 Counselling

NTA has not decided the date of NEET 2021 counselling yet and it will be announced later. It is expected to be scheduled in October, 2021. The aspirants, who will find their names in the merit list and will qualify the NEET 2021 exam, will be eligible to attend the counselling process.

  • MCC will organise both the 15% AIQ seats as well as the seats in Central and Deemed universities.
  • As per the AIQ ranking, the centralised counselling merit list will be drawn.
  • The aspirants should follow the instructions of the State Government and authorities of dental colleges or medical institutions/universities for the counselling purposes in order to get into the colleges through merit list.
  • Based on the All India Rank, the State Merit List will be drawn.

  • MBBS and BDS: In order to get into the colleges for MBBS or BDS coursework, either in Government or private college, or in central universities, in Deemed universities in India. Apart from this, the aspirants can also take admission into the AIIMS or in JIPMER.
  • Ayush Courses: The qualifying students of NEET 2020 can also take admission into the course works like Ayurveda (BAMS), Unani (BUMS), Yoga and Naturopathy (BNYS), Siddha (BSMS), and in Homeopathy (BHMS).
  • B.V.Sc. and AH courses: Apart from the aforementioned programs, the qualified aspirants will be eligible to enrol their names for B.VSc and AH courses in Veterinary colleges (Excluding Jammu and Kashmir).
  • If the candidates of foreign countries would like to continue their study in medical or dental course works from outside of India, they can also do that. The validity of NEET 2021 results will be valid for 3 years in this context.

NEET 2020 Counselling Process

All the candidates after clearing NEET 2020 will be called for counselling on the basis of their NEET Rank. Students have to pay the counselling fees and choose their preference for colleges during the NEET Counselling process.

  1. Visit the official website of MCC and click on “New Registration” link
  2. Enter the details like Roll Number, Application Number, Candidates Name, etc
  3. Choose the security password. Students are advised to remember the password until the Online Allotment Admission Process is completed.
  4. Password must be 8-13 characters long. With at least one capital letter, one small letter, one numeric and one special character.
  5. Press the Submit button
  6. To complete the counselling process, students are required to enter code received through a one-time password.
  7. Click on a Candidate Agreement to complete the registration process
  8. Before clicking on the “Confirm Registration” button, students are advised to verify all the details displayed on the web page during the application form filling. A registration slip will be generated after clicking on confirm registration button and candidates can take the printout of the same for future reference.
