NEET 2021 Revision Plan for Three Months

Once the aspirants learn completely the entire NEET 2021 syllabus, they will need to start revision. They should make a NEET revision plan and should follow the daily timetable for NEET 2021 to keep the track of the revision of the subjects. Do not revise your study in a haphazard manner. Better study in an organised manner. It, in turn, helps to bring positivity in you and leads you to motivate towards your study. To make your NEET 2021 revision plan strengthen, the aspirants need to set a goal first. You can also save your time.

First Month Strategy

In the first month, the aspirants require to revise the topics of class XI, in which you are comparatively weaker and volatile.

  • You should revise different topics of two different subjects every day (if you are flexible, then try to revise three different subjects every day).
  • In order to choose the topics, the students should revise the strongest topic (which you feel) and most critical topic. Continue this process in every alternate day by picking the different combinations of sections.
  • If you are engaging yourself more in revising the concepts and theory, you also need to keep time for writing down the basic things. For instance, you can write the answers by using mnemonics and basic values. You also need to work on the formulae and reactions.

Repeat this process continuously. You are advised to revise the topics in the first month at least thrice. On the weekends, try to take two model questions papers for memorising the concepts.

Third Month Strategy

It is a vital month before the exam. You should be calm and composed throughout the month. Anxiety to a certain level is fine, otherwise, panicking can only make you scared and you will forget your learnings. Do not study anything new this month.

  • Only need to revise those NEET important topics, which you have learnt already.
  • Try to practice more on multiple-choice questions or model papers. You should practice at least two papers daily. Analyse more and try to find out the weak points from your evaluation.
  • Besides, you should also take NEET 2021 mock tests daily. Identify your weakness and you should rectify it.
  • In the last two weeks, the aspirants should revise the volatile stuff more. Solve more repeat based questions.

Also, do not take lightly to memorise the formulae. You are advised not to use social media during this time. The NEET 2021 revision plan will be beneficial to get good scores in the exam.

By following the above-mentioned revision plan, you will be easily able to cover all the topics. You just have to be determined and focus to achieve your goal.

4. Know your weakness

It is possible that you are very strong in one topic, but weak in some other. It might be the lack of interest, or maybe it’s that one missed lecture in high school. Regardless, do not get discouraged by it. Try to work harder on the weaker areas to strengthen them. Ask your friends or teachers for help. Taking a conscious step towards your weaker points will help strengthen your knowledge base.

5. Practice mock test papers

Ask any student who has attempted NEET in his/her life. One of the greatest challenges they faced was probably the time limitation. Students have to finish 180 Biology NEET questions in 180 minutes, which means they can give a maximum of 1 minute per question. Practising mock papers and previous year question papers will help you be prepared for everything that would happen in the exam hall.

6. Make sure to revise

While preparing for any exam, revision is of utmost importance. NEET is no exception to this rule either. Covering new topics without revising the already covered ones will be a waste of time. Without revision, it is highly likely that you will forget the concepts you have covered in the past. However, devoting time and revising them in a systematic way will give students time that they need to invest on learning them yet again. The revision will also help you in increasing your test-taking speed and overcoming panic. It will also give you a clear picture of the topics you’re weak in.

7. Keep distance from distracting elements

Distractions are to be avoided during NEET preparation days, especially when the exam is near. Therefore, keep your social media interactions like Facebook, WhatsApp etc. to a minimum. However, recently many social media groups have started offering some important exam tips. If you do plan on spending time on social media, you can check out such groups too.

8. Use New Technologies

There are countless more options for studying now than ever before. There exist a lot of online tools, such as social media, blogs, videos or mobile applications. Learning has become easy, interesting and fun.

9. Do not attempt by guessing

Many candidates take guesses in the examination hall, even when they don’t know the right answer. However, due to negative marking, for every wrong answer, you might end up losing marks instead of gaining them. Please leave a question unattempted if you do not know the correct answer to it. Do keep this in mind for your NEET 2021 examination.

10. Maintain your health

Don’t over push for studies, ensure you take rest and exercise regularly. Too many sleepless nights and improper food will take a toll on your health. Having a good diet is as essential as studying. Your brain needs regular energy and rest to work and function efficiently. You must have at least 8 hours of proper sleep to relax your brain. A regular hobby like running, singing etc. anything that you like, will help you refresh your brain and get ready to absorb another few hours of studying. So it’s necessary to keep giving it breaks at regular intervals. Also Check

NEET Chemistry Preparation: Self Study vs Coaching

Students have various approaches towards learning. Some require a push and some do not. Usually, students are made to adapt to such a learning environment where they think it is impossible to study a subject without the help of a coaching centre. Let us talk about the benefits of Self-study versus Coaching.

Benefits of Self-Study

Self-study is rewarding to those who have had an independent mindset since the beginning. Self-study can benefit in many ways some of which are given below-

  • Candidates try exploring more deeply during self-study as it will help learn the concept with more interest. Even if questions are presented in a complex manner, students can answer them well as they will have understood every part of every chapter very well.
  • Self-study can build confidence within students. This kind of confidence is what is required in the medical field.
  • Self-study enables the student to engage on tough topics without any help. They naturally try to solve the question unaided and since the students are independent, it works in their favor.
  • Using the self-study method, students can prepare for NEET at their own pace. They can study according to their most productive times. This can reduce the exam stress and pressure on students by a great level.

Benefits of Coaching

If a student requires a push to get to the study table, coaching is suitable for him/her. A coaching institute asks students to follow their pre-devised strategies and routines, which usually work if followed with complete dedication. Below are some benefits-

  • Classroom setting with desks helps students maintain their focus on study.
  • The presence of fellow students will facilitate peer learning and also push students towards a competitive environment from the very beginning.
  • Coaching institutes provide classes for an ideal number of days, so there is a low scope for exertion or less preparation.
  • Study materials are supplied by the institutes so students will not have to spend time looking for them at bookstores.
  • Teachers are always available to address doubts and help understand topics more deeply.
  • Doubts can be solved immediately. It will help in less confusion for a long time.
  • Some institutes also provide mental support to students to ensure that they do not burn out while preparing for exams.
  • Teachers also help students in building new strategies for solving maximum number of questions in the given time frame.
