NEET 2021 Phase 2 Registration

Students must complete the NEET 2021 Phase 2 registration by visiting the NTA’s official website. The registration window is open from 1 October to 10 October 2021. Phase 2 registration steps are as follow:-

NTA released NEET 2021 Result in online mode through its official website. Candidates can check their results by entering their roll number and other required details on the website. NTA will publish both the All India Rank and All India Quota Rank along with the category rank on the website. NEET 2021 Cut Off

NTA will publish not only the NEET result, but also they will also announce the NEET cut off 2021. An aspirant is required to get the minimum cut off marks to take admission into the NEET colleges/institutions. NEET cutoff marks vary as per the different categories. NEET cutoff marks is relied upon the below mentioned three factors and these are:

  • The number of available seats
  • Total number of aspirants appear in the exam
  • Level of difficulty of the questions in NEET 2021 exam.

NEET 2021 cut off is published both for the State Level Quota and All India Quota. Based on NEET cut-off, the exam-conducting authority declares the result for candidates as qualified or not qualified.

NEET 2021 Minimum Qualifying Percentile 

NTA will publish the NEET Cutoff percentile marks along with the result and scorecard in August 2021 (tentative). In order to calculate the NEET percentile marks, the aspirants should follow the below mentioned method:

  • If a student secures Rank X in NEET 2021 exam and if the total number of candidates appear in the test is Y, then the formula for calculating the NEET percentile is: [(Y-X)/Y]*100.

Tie-Breaker Procedure for NEET 2021

If two or more aspirants get the same number, then the NTA will follow the tie-breaking process. This process is followed for the purpose of assigning ranks. The aspirants should check the tie-break procedure corresponding to the assigning ranks. Read the following tie-breaker process for NEET 2021.

  • The aspirants, who have higher scores in Biology, will get higher ranks in the merit list.
  • If still the tie among the candidates persists, then whoever gets a high score in Chemistry will be able to secure a high rank in the merit list.
  • Higher marks and rank will be assigned to those candidates, who have got wrong answers for every incorrect answer (if the tie remains persistent among the aspirants).
  • At last, the higher age candidates will be at the top position in the merit list. Age group consideration is the final criteria for breaking the tie among the similar score obtaining candidates.

NEET 2021 Counselling

The qualified candidates can participate in NEET 2021 Counselling in order to get admissions in different medical and dental institutions. In this regard, a call letter will be issued by the NTA. NEET 2021 Counselling will most probably commence in September/October and is expected to be divided into two phases: All India Quota and State Level Quota. The counselling process will be conducted online.

  • The All India Quota Counselling is carried out by MCC (Medical Counselling Committee). On the other hand, the Directorate of Health forms the counselling process.
  • State Counselling is conducted by the respective state exam authority.

How to Fill NEET 2021 Application Form?

Filling the NTA NEET 2021 application form is a four-step process. The process involves registration, filling in the application form, uploading documents, paying an application fee and printing out of the confirmation page. The detailed process is mentioned below:-

NEET 2021 Instructions for Exam Day

  • NEET exam centres will be opened 2.5 hours before the exam timing. On the other hand, if you try to enter the exam center after 9.30, you do not get the permission to enter. Better, you are suggested to reach the exam center at the reporting time mentioned on your admit card.
  • Do not forget to carry your NEET admit card.
  • Aspirants also need to bring a passport sized photograph, since it will be pasted on the attendance sheet by the invigilator.
  • It is better to not carry any personal belongings to the exam center, since you will not be allowed to carry the items to the exam hall.
  • You should follow the NEET 2021 Dress code.
  • The aspirants are not allowed to bring mobile phones or any digital instruments.

NEET 2021 Exam Pattern

NEET is conducted in online mode only. The question paper has objective type questions. There are 200 questions divided into four sections. In 2021, NTA has decided to divide each section into 2 parts- A and B. Section B will have 15 questions, out of which candidates will be required to attempt any 10. Duration of NEET 2021 is 180 minutes. For each correct answer, 4 marks are awarded and for each incorrect answer, 1 mark is deducted from candidates’ score.

NEET 2021 Eligibility Criteria for 15% All India Quota Seats

To participate in the counselling process, the aspirants should apply through the online portal of the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC). MCC Counselling for NEET UG 2021 will be completed in two rounds.

  • All the NRIs, Foreign students, PIO and OCI are eligible along with Indian Nationals to participate in the 15% AIQ counselling process.
  • Some of the states such as Jammu and Kashmir are not eligible to participate in the 15% AIQs.

Reservation for General-Economically Weaker Sections

In January session, 124th Amendment Bill under Indian Constitution by the Parliament. On the other hand, General Quota candidates that are EWS aspirants are applicable for 10/5 reserved jobs and education.
