NEET has its own Reservation Criteria for different Categories. NEET Counselling at All India level is conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) on behalf of Directorate General of Health Services(DGHS), Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India. MCC will conduct online counselling for 15% All India Quota seats for MBBS/BDS courses on the basis of NEET 2018 score. Rest 85% of the seats for MBBS/BDS courses will be filled by State counselling which is conducted by the respective NEET Counselling bodies of the state government.
In All India Quota seats, counselling for reservation of students will be allocated by the MHRD (Ministry of Human Resource Development) rules and regulations. While in the counselling for state quota seats, the reservation will be as per State Legislation rules.

Reservation under All India Quota Seats
All India Quota accounts for 15% of the total seats available at All India level. Government, private,central colleges /universities are also considered the All India Quota account. Students can take admission in any medical colleges from any state of this country. MCC allocate the seats based on All India Merit List. In Deemed universities the counselling is conducted by DGHS (Directorate General of Health Service).

Seat Reservation in All India Quota is as follows:

States of Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Jammu & Kashmir are not eligible for 15% All India Quota Seats, as these States have opted out of NEET all India scheme since its inception. If any candidate from these states wants to claim eligibility for 15% All India Quota Seats, then he/she must submit online Self-Declaration.
Reservation for Physically Handicapped under AIQ
Only 3% seats of All-India Quota are reserved for Physically Handicapped Candidates.
Candidates who have any kind of locomotor disability and their percentage disability falls between 50 to 70% can get a seat allotted under this scheme. If the seats reserved for locomotor disability candidates remain unfulfilled, then these will be transferred to candidates with disability of 40 to 50%.
Note: Blind(including colour blind), deaf, and/or dumb candidates are not eligible to apply or any reservation.
Reservation under State Quota Seats
Remaining 85% seats are come under State Quota, separate counselling will be conducted by state/ union territory by their respective authority. A merit list will be released by the state authority. The seats in state level quota will be filled through state level counselling and merit list.
State quota seats rules will be govern by the state legislation authorities and can be checked online on official state counselling website. Reservation policy of every state is different and depends upon the population of minorities and other factors.
Applicants are advised to fill details of the state code in the Application form so he/she is eligible for home state quota. State domicile copy need to be uploaded while filling the Application form 2018.
Reservation for Physically Handicapped under SQ
There is a state quota for physically handicapped candidates but it is according to the state government reserved policies.
AFMC Reservation Policy
AFMC, Pune are not taking admission of candidates on the basis of All India quota and state quota. Candidates who want to seeking admission in AFMC they need to register on official website @www.afmc.nic.in. They conduct the screening test along with NEET exam.
As per the norms of AFMC, 105 seats are reserved for male and 25 seats are reserved for female out of 130 and only 10 seats are reserved for SC/ST candidates
