Registration Started for NEET PG Counselling 2018: Check Schedule

Director General of Health Service (DHGS), the counselling conducting body of NEET PG 2018 started the counselling of NEET PG 2018 from March 17, 2018. Window of the counselling will be from 17th to 24th March (5.00 pm). DGHS is the designated authority which acts on behalf of Medical counselling committee for counselling 50% of all India Quota seats. NBE has released the AIQ rank cards of candidates eligible to participate in NEET PG 2018 AIQ counselling. For the NEET PG Counselling, candidates who have scored at least 321 (general category), 281 (for reserved category) and 300(for UR-PH category) will be eligible to participate in AIQ counselling of NEET PG 2018 which includes post graduate courses for the diploma, MD, MS, DM and M.Ch courses. Attending the counselling is mandatory and failure to do so will result into disqualification.

Changes in NEET PG Counselling 2018

Medical counselling committee has introduced few important changes in the NEET PG Counselling process. Candidates have to register again for every next round of the counselling. Previously, such repetitive registration was not mandatory.

Minimum qualifying percentile for NEET PG Counselling 2018

Any candidate who qualifies for the minimum marks is eligible for the NEET PG 2018 counselling. The minimum required percentile with their respective categories is given in the table below –

Steps of NEET PG Counselling 2018 for All India 50% Quota

  • Candidates can study the previous year’s trend and submit their choices after registering.
  • The first round of seat allotment will take place and the result of the same is published.
  • Candidates who cleared the first round are required to complete the admission formality.
  • Candidates who did not qualify in the first round or those who want to upgrade their current seat can register for the 2nd round of counselling.
  • The choices made in the first allotment will be treated null and void.
  • After that second round result will be published.
  • Candidates who cleared the second round are required to complete the admission formality.

The candidates can check here the NEET PG counselling fee 2018 for different AIQ/Central Universities/Deemed Universities. The counselling fee is different for AIQ/Central Universities and Deemed Universities. therefore, if the candidates want to participate in both the counselling process then they can pay the higher amount i.e. INR 5,000/-.
