National Board of Examinations (NBE) is responsible for conducting NEET PG 2018 examination on January 7, 2018. The exam is held in online mode only. After clearing the exam, students will get admission in various courses like MD/ MS, PG Diploma etc. So, for appearing in the exam, students have to fill the application form which was released on October 31, 2017. Only those students are eligible to apply who have cleared MBBS degree or Provisional MBBS Pass Certificate recognized by medical council act of India. All the eligible students can fill the application form and appear for the exam. They have to download the admit card to sit for the exam. Students can download the admit card within 24 hours of registration. The paper is comprised of objective type multiple choice questions. Questions will be asked from the subjects that students have studied during MBBS or BDS.
After the completion of the exam, the result will be soon announced by January 31, 2018. Cut off will also be declared according to the students score in the exam. As per the applicant’s score, they will be called for counselling

Eligibility Criteria
It’s important for all the eligible students to check the examination eligibility criteria. If the eligibility criterion does not match then students candidature will be canceled. Following is the explanation of eligibility criteria:
- Students must be Indian National
- Applicants must possess MBBS degree or provisional MBBS pass certificate recognized by MCI
- Students must have completed one year of internship on or before March 31, 2018
- Those who have passed MBBS from Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Jammu and Kashmir states are not eligible to apply
Application Form
For registering for the exam, students have to fill and successfully submit the application form. The application form for NEET PG 2018 will be released on October 31, 2017. The registration can be done in online mode only through the website. Following is the step by step process of filling the application form.
Step 1: Registration
- Visit the official website to create a profile by entering the details.
- Entered details are such as students name, gender, parents name, valid email address, valid mobile number etc.
- Click on the submit button
Step 2: Fill the Application Form
- Now by using the login credentials, enter the details in the application form
- Students have to fill the details related to personal, academic and communication
- After verifying the details, click on the Submit button
Step 3: Upload Documents
- Upload the scanned images of photograph, signature, photo ID, SMC/ MCI and other certificates
- Size of the images of photograph and signature should be between 10kb-30kb
- MCI/ SMC certificate size should not be more than 500 kb
- Click on the upload images button
Step 4: Pay the Application fees
- Students can pay the application fees via debit card/ credit card/ net banking/ e-wallet.
- For making the payment, click on the Go for payment button
- After entering the bank details students can pay the application fees.

Step 5: Final Submission
After paying the application fees, students can take the printout of the confirmation page and keep it safe for their future use.
Admit Card
Admit card is a very important document because without it students cannot enter in the examination hall. Students can download admit card in online mode only by entering the credentials like username and password. It cannot be sent to the student’s address via post or courier.
Students can follow the below steps to download the NEET PG 2018 admit card:
- Visit the official website of NBE i.e. nbe.edu.in
- Click on the NEET PG 2018 Admit card
- Now a login window will appear
- Enter the credentials like username and password
- Click on the login button
After clicking on the button, the admit card will be displayed on the screen. Students can download and take the printout of it for their future reference.

Applicants are advised to check the examination pattern in advance before appearing in the exam. After knowing the examination pattern, students will come to know about the type of questions asked in the exam. Following is the detailed explanation of NEET PG 2018 Examination pattern:
- The examination is conducted in online mode only

Result
After the completion of the exam result has been soon declared on January 23, 2018. Students can check the result online on the official portal of NBE. With the help of the testing ID and date of birth, students can download their result. Following steps help students to download the result:
- Open the official website of NBE
- Click on the NEET PG 2018 Result
- Enter the details such as testing id and date of birth
- Click on the download button
After clicking on the button, the result will be displayed on the screen. Students are advised to download and take the printout of the final score for future use.
Cut off
Cut off marks are the minimum marks scored by the student in order to get admission in the desired course. NBE is responsible for declaring the cut off marks. According to the students cut off marks, they will get admission in respective colleges. Cut off marks will be decided on the basis of various factors which are as following:
- Total number of students appearing in the exam
- Difficulty level of the question paper
- Availability of seats
- Previous year cut off trends
- Total number of students passed the exam

Counselling Process
On the basis of students score in the NEET exam a merit list will be prepared. Students can take participate in the NEET counselling according to their rank in the merit list. In the counselling process, students have to fill their college and course choices.
