Last year, nearly 11 lakh candidates had written this exam on 7th May, 2017 to compete for about 50,000 medical seats in the country. With a similar increase in the number of applicants for this year too, it was speculated that the government would  increase the seats by an extra 10,000. Difficulty Level of NEET 2017

Overall, NEET 2017 paper was assessed to be a moderate to difficult level.  Many students also found it to be bit lengthy.  However, all the three sections of the paper reported a certain difficulty level in the  questions.

Since the beginning of this exam preparation, students had been cautioned about the difficulty of scoring less marks in Physics. In the end, though it was assessed and found to be moderate difficult and a bit tricky too with it’s numerical questions. Most of the questions were conceptual based, which in turn demanded more time for this section. The Chemistry section though, was found to be similar to the Physics section; moderate difficulty level type of questions with conceptual based questions as the base. On the other hand, the Biology section was reported to be more pleasant than the other two sections, but it also had few tough questions.

On a larger picture, the paper analysis for NEET 2017 found about some 50 plus questions in the easy level, 75 plus questions in the average level and  40 plus questions in the difficult level.
